Its funny to put who you are into words. Because it makes you think about your life, where you've been, and where you came from. So I guess I'll start there. But this isn't the part where I write which high school I went to or where I was born, its where I will flashback to my first photography award in the Dade County Fair, I was 13. I won first place for a picture of a duck. It was so simple, but the black and white brought out all the textures and design its feathers to reveal its natural beauty. And thats where I first found inspiration, in Nature.

In the 5th grade my family moved to the Redlands, an area south of Miami and just before the keys, where it was a short drive to the Everglades and even shorter ride to a Coral Reef. The sunsets we're heavenly and I loved to sit outside at night and watch the lightning streak across the sky. I would even snap away frames of film on dark star lite nights teaching myself how to capture even the smallest amount of light. Lucky for me Redland Middle School had a photography class-and I became a sponge. Ansel Adams, Helmut Newton, Andy Warhol, and famous Miami Fashion photographers like Bruce Webber, I was absorbing and dissecting any and every image I could get my eyes on. This was what I did when I wasn't printing in our darkroom, but what I didn't know it at the time was that I was really building up a wealth of inspiration for my own work.

In college my focus was in becoming a part of the mental health community and specializing in Sports Psychology, Film School was another lofty idea, and I just wanted to know where my life would lead. I had gone away from my once noble idea to become a Child's Psychologist to help kids and was selling out to help million dollar athletes. During what would become my last class our instructor did a group progressive relaxation hypnosis on every consenting student in attendance. I don't remember anything from that day except that I left so inspired to 'follow my heart'. It was right before Spring Break and interestingly enough I had an extra-credit assignment in Astronomy to observe and chart an planetary eclipse, March 15th. What makes it interesting is that on the night the stars were aligned I met, the love of my life, Corrine. I remember thinking she was the most important person I had ever met, I was right. And if you ask her, she tell you- I had her at 'hello.' She became my muse, my light, my crown jewel. She loved my pictures and showed me this was my gift to the world.

With photography I realized for the first time that I could touch just as many lives and warm as many hearts as the very best Shrink. Its safe to say Corrine flipped the switch on the Photography Machine that I had been building all my life. I've been a professional photographer for 10 years now. And its been such and blessing on my life and our family. I look forward to so many images and beautiful moments to come. What I can tell you about my life is this, I love my life, I love my wife and kids, and I love making beautiful images for each one of my cherished clients and friends.

As a child, I can remember telling my mom I didn't care what was in the birthday present, as long as it was wrapped beautifully. That was really important to me... always! For an instant- there is magic inside the box. And that's what the package represents..magic.

I grew up in Apopka, Florida-- the indoor foliage capital of the world-- where our family business distributed plants and dish gardens throughout the country. For me, I always thought that my livelihood would be miles from my backyard. I grew up with a deep love for the performing arts and my dream was to dance on broadway. Some of my favorite memories were on stage-- dancing and performing in theatre workshops. There is something special about the costumes, stage make-up and orchestra involved in live show. I absolutely loved my first job as a Chuck E. Cheese Birthday performer--yes, what a great time! Pizza, Cake and a musical performance!

Life began to really take shape when I worked with one of my best friends Gary to plan our high school prom in eleventh grade. Who would know years later that this same friend would introduce Greg to me. Surprising how the world works!

I attended the University of Florida and worked in many campus organizations gaining experience, and following my heart. I loved time spend on the budget committee of the Student Senate and organizing celebrity speakers as the Speaker's Bureau chairperson. And when I became the Social Chair for my UF Sorority-- I didn't realize that I was creating my future career while working on things that I loved. As fate would have it, Greg stepped into my life and shortly later I was enjoying the magic of falling in love-- then planning our wedding.

Before starting Details in 2003, I had the opportunity to work for a direct floral import company in Miami. It was through this experience that I learned valuable information about importing and the event industry. The first business card I ever gave out was to Matt Damon to give to Ben & J-Lo... true story. Too bad that didn't work out for neither of us!

In formulating a plan for what I could offer to the industry, it began with what I knew-- making things pretty and flowers. What started with just florals, has grown into something more than I could imagine. I began to realize that my passion was more than just a hobby, that I actually had a keen understanding for event design. As my knowledge expands, so does what I am able to offer my clients-- beautiful linens, lighting, rentals and with Greg's talent-- amazing photographs too!

I continually find myself adding that something extra special to each bride's day. As much as I love a perfectly wrapped package-- the true enjoyment for me comes in creating the package for a bride. When they unwrap it-- I get to see the "magic" as it takes their breath away.
